Those who have lived till the1980s in Samsun was familiar for concentrate smell of tobacco when they were passing on the Gazi Street. Samsun had a big tobacco factory and because of that had a big fame due to cigarette which made by tobacco that it grown up in Samsun.
Eventually It was abandoned the production because of the production policies and were understood that the tobacco was harmful.
This factory building remained idle for a while. But the
cigarette factory have been a symbol for Samsun.And The city council decided to make restored this
building. After a series official work the restoration started. All of that
building was destroyed except from outer walls
.
And this summer restoration work have finished. The main
brands of Turkey and The World have opened their doors for the customers.
